Mesto pod hradbámi | The town within the walls
Bardejov is an eastern Slovakia heritage stop with a preserved square, town walls, spa history, and wooden churches nearby. It works when the route wants a small town with real architectural payoff.
Do not visit Bardejov expecting every worthwhile stop to be close together or easy to improvise. A route through Bardejov works best when opening days, transport, weather, and distance are treated as cultural logistics, not afterthoughts. Keep Bardejov practical: fewer cross-town moves, confirmed hours, and paid transport when it saves time or saves time. If the main interest is one nearby site, it may be better to treat Bardejov as a base rather than the whole destination.
