Why visit
Visit Bardiya for Nepal beyond trekking and Kathmandu Valley culture. The national park gives the trip forests, grassland, river landscapes, wildlife drives, and a slower Terai rhythm. It makes sense when the trip has time to reach western Nepal and wants nature without copying the Chitwan plan.
When to avoid
Do not add Bardiya casually to a short Nepal trip. Distance, heat, transport, and park timing need space. If wildlife is not the point, the detour is too large. Keep it for a trip built around the park.
