Visit Colerne when the plan is really Lucknam Park: spa, country-house lodging, gardens, and a quiet base near Bath. The village gives the hotel a location, but the property is the reason the record matters. This is strongest as a restorative stay attached to Bath, the Cotswolds edge, or a wider west-of-England route.
Do not treat Colerne like a Bath alternative with endless things to do. It is a small village with a specific hotel-and-spa use case. Without the hotel booking or a nearby countryside plan, the detour is likely too thin.
