Why visit

The Pysanka (Easter egg) Museum is really memorable, the building itself is a 14 m painted egg, and the collection spans every region of Ukraine and the diaspora. The Hutsul Folk Art Museum next door covers the highland culture in depth. Beyond town, Kolomyia is the gateway to the Carpathian Hutsulshchyna region, day trips to Yaremche, Bukovel, and the Pylypets waterfall reward with mountain villages and embroidery markets.
