Few outsiders visit, Mariglianella is a residential village rather than a tourist destination. For travelers exploring the eastern fringe of the Naples metro area, it offers a quiet glimpse of small-town Campanian life away from the chaos of central Naples. Better to stay in Naples, Pompeii, or Sorrento and treat Mariglianella as a brief drive-through, perhaps en route to Vesuvius National Park.

There's effectively nothing to do here for tourists. The wider Marigliano area has had documented Camorra (Neapolitan mafia) presence over the years, it's not dangerous to passers-through but it's not a place to linger.
