For Oxford, the route should stay tight enough that streets and institutions can be compared directly. The Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Camera, Ashmolean Museum, college chapels, Blackwell's, and evensong services give the city its strongest cultural shape. The best itinerary is selective: choose a few colleges or museums, then leave time for walking rather than trying to enter every famous doorway.
