Jamaica can mean very different trips depending on where you sleep. The Blue Mountains above Kingston are cool, green, coffee-country Jamaica. Negril is west-coast beach Jamaica, flatter, warmer, and built around the water. This list has one place to stay in each, so use it as a contrast rather than a full-country guide.

Where to stay
RafJam Bed and Breakfast is in Irish Town, up in the Blue Mountains coffee country above Kingston. It is the stay for cool air, mountain roads, and being close to the capital without sleeping in the city.
Seastar Inn is in Negril, on the west-coast beach side of the island. That is the slower sun-and-water version of the trip. The practical point is distance: these are not two neighborhoods in one city, so build the transfer into the plan or choose the Jamaica you want for that trip.
