Not a true beach base; the beaches are more like a EUR 10-15 taxi ride than an easy walk.

AluaSun Costa Park was a three-star stay for me. I was upgraded to a suite, which helped, but the property still felt like it was trying to charge or hold a deposit for every little thing. Even a water heater came with a deposit, which is the kind of nickel-and-diming that makes a resort feel less relaxing than it should.

The bigger catch is the location. It reads like a beach-area hotel, but it is not especially close to the beaches; getting down there was more like a EUR 10-15 taxi ride than an easy stroll. For a cheap Hyatt stay it can make sense, especially with an upgrade, but I would not treat it as a convenient beach base.

From the source

A cheap Malaga/Torremolinos-area hotel that made sense for a Hyatt stay and an upgraded room, but felt nickel-and-dimey and less convenient to the beach than it might look on paper.
