About
Amiens Cathedral, in the heart of Picardy, is one of the largest 'classic' Gothic churches of the 13th century. It is notable for the coherence of its plan, the beauty of its three-tier interior elevation and the particularly fine display of sculptures on the principal facade and in the south transept.

The cathedral itself can be visited freely as a place of worship, while the official paid monument circuits are the towers and treasury. Towers: Oct-Mar 14:00, 15:00, 16:00; Apr-Sep 14:00, 14:45, 15:30, 16:15, 17:00; closed Tuesdays and during religious ceremonies. Treasury: Oct-Mar 11:00; Apr-Sep 11:00 daily except Tuesday and Sunday plus 14:00 daily except Tuesday; also closed during religious ceremonies.
