Carpe Diem is a beach club on Bang Tao, on Phuket's northwest coast. It runs on a minimum spend for a daybed rather than an entry fee. For us it came to somewhere in the $50 to $100 range for two on a weekend, and most or all of it comes back as food and drink credit, so you're mostly prepaying your afternoon. We took a shaded spot by the pool. The food is standard beach-club fare done well: sushi, fruit platters, Aperol spritzes.
The draw is the calm. It stays quiet and uncrowded even on a Saturday, and the shaded poolside setup makes it easy to settle in for a few hours. Two practical notes. It's a 20 to 30 minute drive from central Phuket, and getting an Uber back can take a few minutes because it's tucked out of the way, so I usually walk a few blocks toward the main road to get picked up. Open daily, 11:00 to midnight.
