Visited 2025Chico Rico is a family-run beach bar on the water in Bar, on Montenegro's southern coast, the kind of place with cushioned wooden loungers, showers, and a cafe-restaurant serving seafood and Mediterranean plates. It's one of the few dog-friendly stretches on the promenade. I came for a drink at sunset, and it's a nice spot for it, with a handful of friendly cats moving between the tables while the sky changes color.
Two honest caveats from my one visit: the mosquitoes get bad in the evening, so bring repellent, and the bill came in higher than the menu prices, so check it before you pay.
