Estación de Zipaquirá

Estación de Zipaquirá is the turnaround point for the Tren Turístico de la Sabana. The current building dates to the late 1920s and is part of Colombia's nationally protected group of passenger railway stations. Its location near the historic center makes it more than a platform at the end of the line.

Turistren arrives in the morning and leaves about four and a half hours later. That is enough time for the center and the Salt Cathedral, but the cathedral is not beside the tracks and its admission is not included with the train. Be back at the station before the published departure because the ticket is sold only as a same-day round trip.
