Estación Ollantaytambo

Estación Ollantaytambo is the main rail hub for Machu Picchu Pueblo. PeruRail and Inca Rail both run reserved-seat trains from here, and the range of departures is much broader than at San Pedro or Poroy. This is also where most Cusco bimodal tickets change from bus to train.

The station is below the historic town on Avenida Ferrocarril. Road traffic through the Sacred Valley can be slow, while the platform and waiting areas become crowded around clustered departures. Arrive at the operator's stated check-in time and keep the booking identification available.
