Holy Church of Saint Nectarios of Aegina
Aegina, Greece
Mike's review
Holy Church of Saint Nectarios is a modern Orthodox pilgrimage church on Aegina, tied to Saint Nectarios, who lived his final years on the island and died in 1920. The complex includes the large domed church and the older Holy Trinity monastery uphill.
It is modern rather than ancient. Aegina has classical ruins, pistachios, ports, and beaches, but this site shows modern Greek Orthodoxy at public scale. Dress and behave like you are entering an active religious place, not as a quick architecture stop.
From the source
A large Orthodox pilgrimage church beside the Holy Trinity convent founded by Saint Nectarios, whose tomb and relics are kept at the complex.
