I have deeply conflicted opinions about this hotel. At times I feel it could be a 5 star experience, then there are 2-3 star moments.
I’m start at the top. It’s a 5 star luxury hotel, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, pool, rec area. It checks all the boxes. The staff do go out of their way as well. Case in point, on my birthday they delivered a cake and fruit plate to my room, no request, just out of that blue.
On the other hand, some of the groups staying here can get rowdy for a business hotel. Think mariachi band at 10pm that you can hear on the top floor. It’s South America so I can’t say I was surprised about spotty WiFi. I was surprised there was a full day with almost no service (speed tests were showing 0mbps up/down throughout the day. That’s simply unacceptable. Luckily this only happened 1/7 days I stayed, but this killed my productivity.
Overall it was a good property, albeit not great.

A Medellin hotel with real luxury-hotel strengths, including restaurants, bars, pool, rec areas, and thoughtful staff touches, but also enough noise and WiFi issues to keep it from feeling great.
