Paradise Beach
Phuket, Thailand
Mike's review
Visited 2021Beach is ok, if you are staying in Patong it’s probably not worth the trip. It’s the same bay of water, just as crowded, 100thb cover, and of course you have to get there which means driving or a tuk tuk (unless you’re stupid like me and walk there ignoring googles suggestion that there are a lot of hills on the way). FYI -> The walk there is ok, just not for the lazy (4km, steep up/down grade basically the whole way).
If you are staying at the Marriott Merlin Beach I might make the trek. Then again, the shuttle into Patong for the public beach is free, the beach just as good, and there are more food options.
Last comm went -> the restrooms (men’s at least) had no soap (I didn’t personally inspect the women’s so no clue). Also no TP, but there is a hose bidet so all good. The soap part is pretty nasty in a global pandemic and a restroom in general, thus my reason for 3 vs 4 stars.
