About
Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña's first railway station opened in 1915, when the line helped turn the town into a center of Chaco's cotton economy. The current building was constructed in 1938 and inaugurated on July 9, 1939 under engineer Bruno del Mónico.
Both the earlier station site and the 1939 building were declared National Historic Monuments in 2018. The station remains part of Chaco's regional passenger network. Its importance is larger than the surviving train schedule suggests because the railway shaped the city's growth, freight trade, and connection to the rest of the province.
