Estación Tranqueras

Tranqueras is one of the principal intermediate stops on the Tacuarembó to Rivera passenger line. The railway helped establish the town as a service point for forestry and agriculture in northern Rivera department.

The old station building is also part of a local transport reuse project. AFE and the Rivera government agreed to adapt it as a bus terminal, bringing road and rail services back to the same site. Confirm the current arrangement before relying on a connection because the passenger train runs only on limited days.
