Mike’s notes
AeroGRU People Mover serves Guarulhos. AeroGRU closes the last gap between CPTM Line 13 and the airport terminals. The railway station is outside the terminal buildings, so the people mover is part of the airport transfer rather than an optional ride.
The line opened in 2025 after years in which arriving rail passengers had to use shuttle buses. Its 2.7-kilometer elevated alignment serves the railway interchange and Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
Riding the network
The airport connection has no separate fare. The paid part of the trip is the CPTM or Airport Express journey to Aeroporto-Guarulhos station.
Current rolling stock and ride conditions: Small automated trains run on a segregated elevated guideway. The trip is short, driverless, and designed around luggage rather than sightseeing.
Aeroporto-Guarulhos connects with CPTM Line 13-Jade and the Airport Express. Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 are separate stops, so check the airline terminal before boarding.
Accessibility: Stations have lifts and level boarding. Allow extra time for the transfer with large bags because the railway and terminal platforms are not in the same building.
Late-night rail service is thinner than daytime service. Check both the people mover and CPTM schedules before relying on the final departure.
