Coopsercol Magdalena Medio Passenger Rail: This is basic regional transport for settlements along the Magdalena Medio railway, not a polished intercity train. Government passenger records still show Coopsercol service from Barrancabermeja to Puerto Parra and Puerto Berrío in 2026.
The corridor is part of Colombia’s old central railway spine. Coopsercol began operation after most national passenger trains disappeared, keeping local service for communities with weak road access.
