The Entre Ríos regional train is a short local service from Paraná to Jorge Méndez, the newer stop at La Picada. It passes a dense set of urban stops in Paraná before continuing through Colonia Avellaneda and Enrique Berduc. The complete trip takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.
The present outer section reopened in stages. Trains returned to Enrique Berduc after a 29-year gap, then reached La Picada again on March 30, 2023 after 30 years without passenger service. The extension added stops at La Picada and Jorge Méndez while restoration work covered Paraná and other stations along the route.
The published timetable runs Monday through Saturday, but not every train covers the complete line. Check the destination column because some departures turn at Enrique Berduc. Tickets are sold at the station or on board, which makes the service less complicated than a reserved long-distance train.
This is a basic diesel regional operation with simple seating and a thin schedule. The official page does not identify every onboard feature or publish a complete accessibility matrix. Ask at Paraná in advance when level boarding or assistance is essential, and verify the dated timetable before making a tight connection.
