Line 100/101 connects Gutiérrez in Maipú with Avellaneda in Las Heras. It passes through Godoy Cruz and stops at Mendoza station near the north side of the city center. Route 100 runs toward Avellaneda, and route 101 runs toward Gutiérrez.

The Gutiérrez to Mendoza section opened in 2012 on a former railway corridor. A nine-stop extension from Suipacha to Avellaneda opened in 2019, and Parque TIC was added between 9 de Julio and Independencia in 2021.

Use SUBE for the fare. The newer enclosed stations also advertise bank-card and QR payment at their gates, but payment equipment varies along the line. Check STM's timetable before relying on a late return.

Siemens light-rail cars acquired from San Diego provide air-conditioning, 64 seats, standing room, and space for two bicycles. They are high-floor vehicles, so wheelchair access depends on the platform. The newer smart stations provide the most consistent accessible boarding and security-controlled waiting areas. More donated San Diego cars are arriving for the expanded network, but fleet delivery is separate from passenger opening dates.

The full operating trip has 25 stops. The line follows a railway corridor, so several stations sit away from the streets and destinations their names suggest. Airport and Luján de Cuyo construction is outside the current passenger route.
