Novosibirsk’s two-line metro crosses beneath the Ob and meets at the Krasny Prospekt and Sibirskaya interchange. Sportivnaya opened on the Leninskaya Line in September 2025.
Tickets and access
Single rides are sold at station machines or ticket windows, and local transport cards may reduce repeat-trip fares. Foreign-issued contactless cards cannot be assumed to work, so keep a local payment option.
Accessibility is station-specific. Newer stations are more likely to have lifts, while many older deep stations rely on escalators and stairs. Check the operator’s station page before a trip that requires step-free access.
