Tickets and trains

Buy a single ticket or use a compatible nationwide IC card where the operator lists it. Direct contactless bank-card tapping is not a network-wide Japanese standard, so do not rely on a foreign bank card unless the operator specifically shows it as accepted.

Air-conditioned two-car monorail trains run above Naha’s streets. Cars can become crowded around the airport and central stops when flights arrive.

Stations provide elevators, tactile guidance, accessible toilets, and staff assistance. Check the operator’s accessibility map when a specific entrance matters because not every street entrance is step-free.
