Samara has one metro line running from Yungorodok through the eastern industrial districts to Alabinskaya. It is useful along its corridor, but it does not cover the full city center.
Tickets and access
Single rides are sold at station machines or ticket windows, and local transport cards may reduce repeat-trip fares. Foreign-issued contactless cards cannot be assumed to work, so keep a local payment option.
Accessibility is station-specific. Newer stations are more likely to have lifts, while many older deep stations rely on escalators and stairs. Check the operator’s station page before a trip that requires step-free access.
