Line 9-Esmeralda runs from Osasco to Varginha and has 21 cataloged stops. São Paulo Rail 9-Esmeralda.
The network descends from several nineteenth-century railways. CPTM unified most metropolitan operations in the 1990s, and Lines 8 and 9 later moved to ViaMobilidade while other concessions continued to change. The present route opened through those stages.
Riding the line
Use the accepted São Paulo fare media or QR ticket for the selected operator. A transfer inside a paid station is different from leaving the system and re-entering.
Current rolling stock and ride conditions: Electric multiple units run on surface and elevated railway. Station spacing and journey time are longer than on the metro, especially beyond the city boundary.
Osasco, Presidente Altino, Pinheiros, Morumbi, Santo Amaro are marked as interchanges in the network data. Luz, Brás, Barra Funda, Pinheiros, Santo Amaro, Tamanduateí, and Morumbi connect with the metro. Line 13 serves Guarulhos Airport through the railway station and AeroGRU link.
Accessibility: Modernized stations provide lifts or ramps, but the broad network has uneven access and long platforms.
Airport Express and regular Line 13 trains have different stopping patterns. Check the departure display rather than treating every airport train as the same service.
