The Tren Curicó to Linares is a five-stop regional service through the Maule. It links Curicó, Molina, Talca, San Javier, and Linares over 114.7 km, with Talca as the central transfer point.
The dedicated regional trains are limited weekday services. The regular Santiago to Chillán train also covers the corridor every day, but it uses reserved long-distance tickets and may not match the regional fare or stopping pattern. Treat them as two ways to travel over the same tracks, not one interchangeable schedule.
The regional service opened in 2024 as part of EFE's 30/30 expansion program. It reused the main north-south railway and the stations modernized for the new Chillán trains rather than building a separate line.
At Talca, the train to Constitución leaves on a different branch and has its own timetable. A same-day connection is possible only when the published times line up. The long rural branch is not a frequent extension of the Curicó to Linares train.
EFE publishes regional times and fares on the official Curicó to Linares page. The dedicated trains have reclining seats and power outlets. Long-distance BMU and UTS equipment has different seating and onboard services.
The five stations were rebuilt or raised for accessible boarding as part of the central corridor works. Confirm assistance in advance if a lift, boarding device, or staffed handoff is required, particularly outside the busier Talca station.
