Volgograd’s Metrotram is a tram system with a central underground section. ST ends at Ploshchad Chekistov, while ST-2 continues through the underground extension to Elshanka.
Tickets and access
Single rides are sold at station machines or ticket windows, and local transport cards may reduce repeat-trip fares. Foreign-issued contactless cards cannot be assumed to work, so keep a local payment option.
Accessibility is station-specific. Newer stations are more likely to have lifts, while many older deep stations rely on escalators and stairs. Check the operator’s station page before a trip that requires step-free access.
