Mike's review

Visited 2022

Dubrovnik's aquarium sits in the vaulted stone rooms of the old Fort St. John arsenal, at the harbor end of the city walls. Two things make it a good stop in summer. It's cool, and it's dark. After a morning on the walls in the glaring Adriatic sun, half an hour among clean, well-lit tanks is a real change of pace.

The Google reviews are rough, and they almost talked me out of going. They shouldn't. The tanks were clean and the fish looked well kept, and at around $9 it was the cheapest attraction I paid for in Dubrovnik, a town where the City Walls walk and the cable car each run €30 to €40. It's a half-hour curiosity rather than a half-day attraction, but for the price and the break from the heat it's easy to fit in. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:30, closed Monday. I'm not a fish person, so I can't tell you what's in each tank. The photos here do that better than I could.
