Museum and Library of Hungarian Agriculture

The Museum and Library of Hungarian Agriculture occupies the permanent Vajdahunyad Castle complex in City Park. Ignác Alpár designed the original historical building group for Hungary's 1896 Millennium Exhibition. That temporary structure was removed, then rebuilt in durable materials between 1900 and 1907. The museum remained inside, which is why a collection about farming, forestry, fishing, hunting, and rural life sits behind a facade assembled from Hungarian architectural references. The building history and the exhibits are separate reasons to stop. Current hours and admission should be checked on the museum's official site because exhibitions and visitor access can change.
