I stayed here twice, most recently around 2022. Both times the room was free on points when Rome had few other options, and both times I regretted the location. I ended up taking Uber into the center.
The property felt like an old conference hotel that had seen better days. The carpet, drapes and wallpaper all looked about 20 years old, and the whole building had a dusty quality even when it was clean. I would only stay again if the rate were dirt cheap or the room were free.

The Crowne Plaza Rome - St. Peter's is a 307-room conference hotel on Via Aurelia Antica. It has large meeting facilities, free parking, an indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool and a spa. Standard rooms are 26 square meters, while premium rooms are 30 square meters.
The hotel sits away from the central sightseeing areas, so reaching the historic center usually means using its shuttle, a taxi or a ride-hailing service. Some fifth-floor rooms had been renovated by 2026, but the update does not appear to cover every room or common area.
