Estación Machu Picchu Pueblo

Estación Machu Picchu Pueblo is the rail terminal in Aguas Calientes. PeruRail and Inca Rail trains from Ollantaytambo, Poroy, and selected Cusco departures finish here. The archaeological site is not beside the platform. Buses leave from town for the climb to the entrance, and both the bus and the citadel require separate tickets.

The station exits into a compact market and steep pedestrian streets. Return trains use assigned departures, so leave enough time to come down from the site, cross town, and clear the operator's check-in before boarding.
