Estación Federico Lacroze

Federico Lacroze is the Buenos Aires terminal of the Urquiza Line. The present building was constructed between 1951 and 1957, making it a useful contrast with the city's ornate nineteenth-century terminals. Its glazed facade and broad horizontal lines are firmly mid-century Modern.

Inside, look for the 1957 mural by sculptor Luis Perlotti. The terminal is protected as a National Historic Monument and sits beside the Federico Lacroze station on Subte Line B. They work as an interchange, but the subway platforms and the surface railway terminal are separate parts of the trip.
