This is probably the coolest attraction in Portsmouth! I can confirm that it is 100% worth the train ride from London to take the only commercial hovercraft service remaining in the UK.

Book online to save yourself a few quid. I was able to do it quickly on my phone in the lobby. You can also buy tickets at the front desk, but there are only a limited number of seats on each flight so it's smart to plan ahead.

The journey is quick. You will honestly spend more time waiting and boarding than actually riding across the channel. That is not an indictment on the service, rather a show of how fast the crossing really is.

Seats are comfortable and there is handicap access via ramps on one side for those with disabilities.
