Mike's stay
This property scores average for an intercontinental. The staff are lovely, from checkin to departure they try really hard. The hotel is located conveniently centric between Casio Viejo, shopping, and other points of interest. On the other hand, you’ll be driving everywhere.
The breakfast is decent, but not award winning. The pool area is nice, but the pool is in need of repairs on the bottom, and they could do with a bar. Rooms are a bit tired, but overall ok.
Things I really disliked: the club is only open for very abbreviated hours, you’re not going to use it as a spare work space. The bathrooms have very low water pressure. There is no minibar/fridge in the room? Seriously what is that. If you want to chill drinks you have to order ice and that takes about an hour on average.
Overall it’s an ok stay, I’d probably check out a new property next time I’m in Panama.
