About
John Oldham Park is the green pocket inside the Narrows Interchange, just west of the convention centre. A lake, small waterfall, footbridge and dense planting sit beneath the freeway ramps, with paths connecting Mounts Bay Road to the river and Kings Park approaches. It is more useful as a short walking detour or quiet break than a destination in its own right. Birdlife is common around the water. The park is free, open at all hours and has a playground, barbecues and drinking fountains.
