Justizpalast is a courthouse you can understand physically. Friedrich von Thiersch designed it in Neo-Baroque style, and it was built from 1891 to 1897 for the Bavarian justice system. The exterior is heavy and official. Inside, the central hall rises under an iron-and-glass dome.
Room 253 addresses the White Rose trial. Hans and Sophie Scholl and Christoph Probst were sentenced here in 1943. The setting remains a working court building: corridors, offices, procedure, and a memorial room inside the same institution.
