About

Rosario Norte began as Estación Sunchales and was connected to Buenos Aires by rail in 1886. The station became an important northern gateway as Rosario developed into a major river port and railway center. Its old name still appears in local heritage records.

The building sits on Avenida del Valle, north of the center, and remains the city's best-known passenger railway station even when individual services are interrupted. It is included in Rosario's historic-preservation planning. Check the current train status before making a special trip because the regional and long-distance schedules have changed repeatedly.
