Santa Bárbara Castle

Alicante, Spain

Mike's review

best for city views, castle history, old town orientation

Take the lift up from Postiguet, then walk down through the older paths if everyone has good shoes and knees. The descent is steep, so I would not bring mobility-impaired relatives or a stroller on that route.

From the source

Santa Barbara Castle is the fortress on Mount Benacantil above Alicante's old town and waterfront. The easiest plan is the paid lift from Postiguet up, then walking down only if steep paths are fine for your group.
