I visited in October, when the falls were green and the boardwalk loop had space. Early entry matters in summer because the same paths fill with tour groups by late morning. Swimming at Skradinski Buk has been banned since 2021, so this is a walk around the falls rather than a place to get in the water.

Skradinski Buk is the seventh and longest travertine barrier on the Krka River. Seventeen cascades spread across 800 meters, with a total drop of 45.7 meters. The waterfall is between 200 and 400 meters wide, so the boardwalk shows a series of terraces, pools and smaller channels rather than one vertical drop.
Walking the 1.9-kilometer circuit takes about an hour without long stops. It passes restored watermills and the remains of the Krka Hydroelectric Power Plant, which began operating in 1895. An 11-kilometer transmission line carried its alternating-current power to Šibenik, making the falls part of Croatia's early electrical history as well as the main sight inside Krka National Park.

Official Krka NP working hours for Skradinski buk are January-February 09:00-16:00, March 09:00-17:00, April 08:00-18:00, May 08:00-19:00, June-August 08:00-20:00, September 08:00-19:00, 1-15 October 08:00-18:00, 16-31 October 09:00-17:00, and November-December 09:00-16:00. On 24 and 31 December the park closes at 12:00, and it is closed on 25 and 26 December.
Admission
The 2026 Krka National Park ticket for all accessible land sites is seasonal: individual adults pay 7 EUR in Jan-Feb-Mar-Nov-Dec, 20 EUR in Apr-May-Oct, and 40 EUR in Jun-Jul-Aug-Sep. Individual children and students pay 4 EUR, 12 EUR, and 15 EUR respectively. In June-September after 15:00, the adult ticket drops to 30 EUR. Ticket includes the Skradin boat transfer and Lozovac bus transfer from 1 April to 31 October.
