Stadtpark
Vienna, Austria
Mike's review
Visited 2015Stadtpark opened in 1862 as Vienna’s first municipal park, created after the city walls and the glacis outside them were removed. It stretches across both banks of the Wien River, with the Kursalon and formal flower beds on the Ringstrasse side.
A good route is from the Ringstrasse past the Kursalon and Johann Strauss monument, then over one of the bridges toward the Wienfluss promenade. The flower clock sits near the Kursalon and is easy to include. This is a public park, so it works between scheduled interiors without adding another ticket or fixed entry time.
