Swan River Perth
Perth, Australia
About
The central Perth reach of the Swan River, known to Noongar people as Derbarl Yerrigan, forms the southern edge of the city center. Elizabeth Quay, Barrack Square and Langley Park all face the water, with shared paths running through parkland along both banks. The riverfront gives open views back to the skyline and connects many of central Perth’s public spaces.
Transperth ferries cross from Barrack Street Jetty to South Perth, while private boats continue toward Fremantle and the Swan Valley. Walking and cycling paths are free. Cruises, ferries and waterside attractions set their own fares and schedules.
