About
The Templo de la Musica looks older than it is. San Jose commissioned the concrete pavilion for the 1920 year-end festivities, and architect Jose Francisco Salazar Quesada had only three weeks to finish it. Its twelve Ionic columns and coffered dome were inspired by the Temple of Love at Versailles. The pavilion still works as intended: an open-air stage with unusually good acoustics in the center of Parque Morazan.
