Belgrano Sur Line Belgrano Sur: González Catán–Lozano

The González Catán to Lozano branch connects the end of the frequent suburban line with 20 de Junio, Marcos Paz, Villars, and Lozano. It is an outer service with a thin timetable, not an extension you can treat like another turn-up-and-go commuter train.

These metre-gauge tracks belonged to the Compañía General railway and once formed part of a much larger rural network. Passenger trains returned beyond González Catán in stages, reopening the route through Marcos Paz before service was extended to Lozano.

Use SUBE for the fare where validators are available, and confirm the current departure before making the trip. The published service is concentrated on weekends and leaves little room for a missed train. González Catán is the transfer point from the regular Sáenz branch.

The outer branch uses diesel rolling stock and has more limited seating and service than the metropolitan section. Rural stations do not have uniform wheelchair access, staffing, or high platforms. Ask Trenes Argentinos about assistance in advance if level boarding is necessary.
