Belgrano Sur Line Belgrano Sur: Sáenz–Marinos del Crucero General Belgrano

The Belgrano Sur Sáenz to Marinos branch connects Doctor Antonio Sáenz with Villa Lugano, Tapiales, Aldo Bonzi, Isidro Casanova, Libertad, and Marinos del Crucero General Belgrano. It shares the inner line with González Catán trains before the branches divide at Tapiales.

The route opened as part of the Buenos Aires Midland Railway in the early twentieth century. It was folded into the Belgrano system after nationalization in 1948. That separate history is why the two main Belgrano Sur branches meet at Tapiales instead of following one corridor throughout.

Pay the fare with SUBE and check the destination on the train before boarding. Both branches leave from the same Sáenz platforms, so being on a Belgrano Sur train is not enough by itself. Current schedules and service alerts matter more than a saved map when work affects the shared section.

Diesel multiple units handle the regular service and have air-conditioned interiors. Crowding is heaviest on the shared urban stretch. Raised platforms have improved boarding at many stations, but wheelchair access and the platform gap still vary, particularly farther from Sáenz.
