Magdeburg S-Bahn is the regional suburban railway serving Magdeburg. Services represented here include S1. Branches and distinct stopping patterns are kept separate so the route diagram does not invent a connection.
Magdeburg introduced S-Bahn service in 1974. The remaining S1 follows the main north-south railway through the city and continues far beyond the urban area.
