South Line runs from Sumaré to Cohab II and has 6 cataloged stops. Weekday and Saturday diesel VLT service.

The Sobral VLT opened in 2014 on a mixture of reused railway and new urban track. It gives a midsize inland city a rail service rarely found in Brazil at this scale. The present route opened through those stages.

Riding the line

Use Metrofor’s current Sobral fare process. Check the published schedule because midday and evening gaps can be substantial.

Current rolling stock and ride conditions: Diesel light-rail cars run as short sets on surface track. The service is closer to a local railway than a high-frequency tram.

Campo dos Velhos is marked as an interchange in the network data. The North Line links Novo Recanto and Cohab III. The South Line links Sumaré and Cohab II, with the transfer at Campo dos Velhos.

Accessibility: Most stations are small surface stops. Platform access varies and should be confirmed when assistance is required.

The line names describe two service patterns, not separate networks with frequent timed transfers.

Check VLT de Sobral for the current timetable and operating notices.
