The Cipolletti–Neuquén–Plottier Tren del Valle crosses the Neuquén River, stops in central Neuquén, and continues west through Ignacio Rivas, ETON, El Cholar, Aeropuerto, Barrio Unión, and Constituyentes. Only selected trains cover the complete corridor.
The Tren del Valle opened between Neuquén and Cipolletti in July 2015. It reached Plottier on March 29, 2021 after a 28-year gap in passenger service west of Neuquén. Seven urban stops were added during the extension program, including ETON and Aeropuerto in November 2022. Trains returned across the river to Cipolletti in February 2025.
SUBE is the only payment method listed on the current operator page. The card is validated aboard with the conductor's authorization. Service runs Monday through Friday, and the individual timetable row must include both the origin and destination because many trains turn short.
The current rolling stock is a small diesel fleet with basic seating. Aeropuerto connects the railway with commercial flights, but the gaps between trains prevent it from functioning as an all-day airport shuttle.
The ETON and airport works included pedestrian-access improvements. The operator does not publish a station-by-station level-boarding standard, so wheelchair boarding or other assistance should be confirmed before travel.
