The Güemes–Salta–Campo Quijano train links the provincial capital with Campo Santo and Güemes to the east, then Cerrillos, Rosario de Lerma, and Campo Quijano to the west.

Passenger service began between Salta and Güemes on June 27, 2012. The 41 km section west from Salta reopened on July 9, 2021, bringing trains back to Campo Quijano after 51 years. The extension added stops at Pacto de los Cerrillos and Combate de Rosario de Lerma.

The current timetable operates the corridor as two separate sections. Trains run between Güemes and Salta, while one weekday train in each direction covers Salta to Campo Quijano. There is no current through train from one end of the line to the other.

Reserve most trips through the Reservá tu tren app or website up to 24 hours before departure. The current page exempts the two Campo Quijano trains from that rule. Carry DNI and pay at an enabled station with cash or SAETA. The stations recharge SAETA but do not sell the card itself.

Diesel railcars provide basic seating. Campo Quijano is the end of this regional service even though Ramal C14 continues into the Andes. Platform heights and station facilities vary, so wheelchair boarding assistance should be confirmed before travel.
