VLT da Baixada Santista Line 1

Line 1 runs from Barreiros to Porto and has 15 cataloged stops. Baixada VLT 1.

The first section opened in 2015 on a rebuilt railway corridor. The extension from Conselheiro Nébias to Valongo entered full daily operation in May 2026. The present route opened through those stages.

Current rolling stock and ride conditions: Low-floor electric light-rail cars run on reserved railway and street alignments.

Barreiros, Mascarenhas, São Vicente, Emmerich, Nossa Senhora das Graças are marked as interchanges in the network data. Barreiros anchors the São Vicente end. Porto serves the original Santos terminal, while Valongo reaches the historic center and bus connections.

Accessibility: Low-floor cars and raised platforms provide step-free boarding. The street section still requires level crossings and curb access.
